Pink Pajama Party to Celebrate Martina McBride in KC
What: Susan G. Komen Pink Pajama Party celebrating Martina McBride’s KC Stop on the ELEVEN ACROSS AMERICA The Pink Together Express powered by AmtrakMartina McBride is traveling across the country this week on an Amtrak train to celebrate the October 11th release of her new album ELEVEN, featuring the current hit “I’m Gonna Love You Through It”. During the journey, she’ll be honoring breast cancer survivors and those who have loved them through it. We’d love you to join us as local survivors are honored.

One local business owner has enjoyed being able to help local athletes graduate from Little League to big leagues while experiencing his own growth.Josh Bakers love of sports inspired him to start selling sporting equipment and printed T-shirts out of his mothers garage soon after graduating from high school.
Fourteen years later, the company has grown to more than 40 employees and operates out of a new corporate headquarters and warehouse near Beach Boulevard and Florida 9A.
I love watching the kids grow, said Baker, who has two boys of his own, Brooks, 6, and Rylan, 4.
He remembered watching young local athletes who have become professionals in their sport, such as Los Angeles Angels second baseman Howie Kendrick, Kansas City Royals first baseman Billy Butler, Seattle Seahawks running back Leon Washington and Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.






Participants are encouraged to wear pink pajamas, bring a chair to lounge with their friends and listen to music and bring money to purchase Komen t-shirts and Martina's new ELEVEN CD. (Behind Union Station, in the back parking lot.
