Busy day in South Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles-49ers game and Phillies-Cardinals playoff game drew 115,719 fans to Lincoln Financial Field and Citizens Bank Park on Sunday.
Some, including me, were fortunate enough to attend both.
I was in the press box for all 135 plays from scrimmage, 276 pitches and three meals.

10:51 : Arrive at the Linc media parking lot. I’m still amazed at the thousands of cars and tailgaters already here, as well as the sea of RVs, buses, tents, canopies and barbecue grills. A roving drum line adds to the festivities.

Some hardy folks march around in long shorts and T-shirts. My local outdoor store recommended that I wear "breathable" fabrics and "wickable" clothes against my skin. I bought what I was told. I was somewhat hot and sweaty, but I didn't get malaria.
