CFL fans fuelled by their passion and dedication
There were swarms of red and white, and seas of black and yellow at the Stade Moncton 2010 Stadium, supporting the Calgary Stampeders and the home team, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Some of those vivacious Ticats fans included Dick Dinelle and the "Box J Boys."
The hardcore group of 10 from Hamilton are all season-ticket holders in box J at the Ivor Wynne Stadium. And they never miss a game.
"It was a no-brainer for us to come here and support the team," Dinelle said. "Back in 1987 or so, some of us older guys got together to form the Box J Boys and we've been travelling to games and Grey Cups every since."
The guys were easily seen - and heard - by many attending yesterday's game, sporting black and yellow plaid kilts and shorts, their box J t-shirts, Ticats hats, and accessorized with large, plastic, gold jewelry. They made their presence known to all by sounding off blaring horns, followed by a raucous chant.
They also all wore an armband that read 'RIP Dusty', a box J member who passed away a few weeks earlier.

If Plunkett were to prepare a friend to meet Maj. James Nicholls, he'd paint a picture of unyielding shoulders and a keen eye. Nicholls buys a horse — the war horse of the title — from a young Englishman and rides him off to France and into battle.
